Religion. It's one of our choices, the other being belief that life originated via
the big bang.
If you suspect that
life comes from life, then creation makes sense; but what if you suspect that life is the result of
that explosion?
I (portcdg) believe in the discoveries of science; certainly there is evidence that there was a big bang. But this would have been the creation of the universe, THE example of pyrotechnics--not the creation of life itself (explosive force is not what life is, if you consider it).
Only after the universe existed would it make sense to create life--once there was a home for those created. Therefore belief that there was a big bang does not invalidate the idea of creation at all.
Let us suppose you come to understand that creation makes sense to you; which religion should you choose? I mean, you would not want to waste your time failing to make contact with God because He does not hear the religion you chose?
Fear not! Consider there are humans that speak
several languages.
This is God; He is quite capable. If you sincerely try, you may expect that your communication will be both heard and understood. That is, your
sincerity is what matters more than the specific language/religion you employ.
